Drawing and memory

The first day was a day of drawing from everywhere and not follow the usual process of drawing. I drew from the view of the window. I drew from imagination on the wall and I placed cut sheets of paper in accordance to the space. I saw in one of the drawings, the fly taking its own imaginative journey.

I saw myself thinking of sitting and drawing at various locations of the house, the stair cases, the labourers painting the doors. Earlier I had thought of creating a round form of paper rolled up like a pipe going on both directions of the glass but later realised it would not be easy to create such a sculptural intervention.

I drew on the window and also felt the drawings coming out at this stage were of memory. I am intrigued to know why I drew the railway tracks on the window.
